Today State Representative Chris Paddie was endorsed by the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association PAC for his strong support of our local livestock industry and the men and women who protect against livestock theft and ranch-related property losses. Paddie serves as representative for State House District 9, the area covering Cass, Marion, Harrison, Panola, Shelby, and Sabine Counties.

The Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association (TSCRA) was founded in 1877 to support beef producers by stopping cattle theft and promoting the industry. With a substantial law enforcement division, TSCRA is dedicated to strengthening the cattle industry through crime prevention, cost-effective insurance options for livestock producers, and advocacy on state and federal issues of importance to cattle raisers.

“Texas is the top producer in the nation for beef production and Chris is a top champion for our livestock producers,” said Richard Thorpe, co-chairman of the TSCRA PAC. “Chris is a reliable conservative who has successfully fought to protect our property from infringement or theft. He is the obvious choice for cattle-raisers across Texas.”

“The Cattle Raisers are one of the oldest and most respected livestock trade groups in our country,” Paddie said. “It is my honor to work on behalf of the hundreds of cattlemen in our district and to have their support in this ongoing fight to strengthen the livestock industry.”

Paddie has also been endorsed by AGFUND of the Texas Farm Bureau and was named a “Champion of Free Enterprise” by the Texas Association of Business. Paddie has fought to increase funding for rural public schools while cutting state taxes by $4 billion. A fighter for land owners, Paddie voted to give voters veto power over large local property tax increases and fights to guarantee the state properly funds our schools to ease the burden on local taxpayers.

Paddie is ‘A’ Rated by the NRA and has shown relentless commitment to defending the lives of the unborn with a 100% pro-life voting record. He was honored as a “Courageous Conservative” by the Texas Conservative Coalition and a 2017 “Effective Conservative” by the Conservative Roundtable of Texas. Chris, his wife Brooke, and their teen sons attend Immanuel Baptist Church in Marshall.
