Today State Representative Chris Paddie was endorsed by all six county sheriffs within his district. Sheriff Larry Rowe (Cass), Sheriff David McKnight (Marion), Sheriff Tom McCool (Harrison), Sheriff Kevin Lake (Panola), Sheriff Willis Blackwell (Shelby), and Sheriff Tom Maddox (Sabine) have unanimously announced their support for his reelection campaign. Paddie serves as representative for State House District 9, the area covering Cass, Marion, Harrison, Panola, Shelby, and Sabine Counties.

“Chris is a strong and effective leader for East Texas,” Sheriff McCool of Harrison County said. “He’s fought for border security, cracked down on crime, supported our schools, and cut taxes. We couldn’t ask for a better conservative champion.”

“I’m honored to have the unanimous support of our county sheriffs,” Paddie said. “Local law enforcement officers like our sheriffs are on the frontlines of upholding law and order. I’m proud to have earned their support.”

Just last spring, Paddie outlawed “sanctuary cities” to make it clear that city officials must comply with federal immigration authorities. Paddie also increased funding for public schools while cutting state taxes by $4 billion. A fighter for homeowners, Paddie voted to give voters veto power over large local property tax increases and fights to guarantee Austin properly funds rural schools to ease the burden on local taxpayers.

Paddie is ‘A’ Rated by the NRA and has shown relentless commitment to defending the lives of the unborn with a 100% pro-life voting record. He was honored as a “Courageous Conservative” by the Texas Conservative Coalition and a 2017 “Effective Conservative” by the Conservative Roundtable of Texas. Additionally, Paddie was named a “Champion of Free Enterprise” by the Texas Association of Business.
