State Representative Chris Paddie announced today that he has been endorsed by the Marshall Police Officers Association. Paddie serves as representative for State House District 9, the area covering Cass, Marion, Harrison, Panola, Shelby, and Sabine Counties.

“I’m proud to be endorsed by our local law enforcement,” Paddie said. “They work tirelessly to keep our community and my own family safe. It’s an honor to have their support.”

The Association said: “We are proud to endorse a conservative like Chris Paddie, who consistently puts the safety of our families at the top of the priority list. Chris’s commitment to stopping crime in all its forms is rock-solid and backed by meaningful results.”

Paddie has a strong track record of supporting law enforcement. Last spring, he passed the toughest border security plan in Texas history and increased funding for public schools while cutting taxes by $4 billion at the same time. A champion of property tax relief, Paddie voted to give voters veto power over large local tax increases and fights to guarantee Austin properly funds public schools to ease the burden on local homeowners.

With a 100% pro-life voting record, Paddie has shown relentless commitment to defending the lives of the unborn. Paddie is ‘A’ Rated by the NRA and was honored as a “Courageous Conservative” by the Texas Conservative Coalition and a 2017 “Effective Conservative” by the Conservative Roundtable of Texas. Additionally, Paddie was named a “Champion of Free Enterprise” by the Texas Association of Business.

Chris, his wife Brooke, and their teen sons attend Immanuel Baptist Church in Marshall.
